Abstract :
An outbreak of coronavirus disease in 2019 (COVID-19) caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has become a pandemic.1 In Japan, the increasing number of patients infected with SARS-CoV-2 threatens pre-existing medical resources, and incidents of group nosocomial infections in medical institutions and infected healthcare professionals (HCPs) are also increasing. Using the largest domestic newspaper database, we summarized the number of reported nosocomial infections of SARS-CoV-2 occurring throughout Japan.
