Abstract :
Theactiveparticipationofclientsisanimportantaspectofrehabilitationqualityasconceptualizedinclient-centred
practice(CCP).ArecommendedoutcomemeasureforenhancingCCPistheCanadianOccupationalPerformanceMeasure
(COPM).However,therelationshipbetweenCOPMuseandCCPenhancementhasnotbeendocumented.Aim.Theaimof
thisstudywastoexaminewhethertheuseoftheCOPMenhancedCCP.Methods.Weperformedascopingreviewinfivesteps:
(1)identifyingasearchstrategywithinclusionandexclusioncriteria;(2)screeningrelevantdatabasesforpublishedand
unpublishedstudiesbyusingselectedkeywordsandbymanuallyscrutinizingreferencelists;(3)agreeingoneligiblepapers
betweenauthorsintermsofinclusionandexclusioncriteria;(4)chartingincludeddata;and(5)analysingdatausingqualitative
contentanalysis.Results.Twelvestudieswereincludedinthereview.TheresultsindicatedenhancedCCPintwothemeswhen
usingtheCOPM.Thesethemesappearedtoinfluenceeachother;therefore,thefirsttheme,ConditionsforenhancingCCPwhen
usingtheCOPM,representedthecircumstancesneededforthesecondtheme,EnhancingCCPwhenusingtheCOPM,tobe
fulfilled.Conclusion.TheuseoftheCOPMseemstoenhanceCCPifcertainconditionsarepresent.
