Bioinformatics and biostatistics

Different branches of science were included in bioinformatics whose main objective is to help us to understand the biological process. High-throughput and different types of data are obtained from genome sequencing, microarray gene expression and image processing studies. Collaboration of researchers from different disciplines is required for storing and processing huge-amount of data, providing easy access to the researchers, developing statistical tools to analyze data and conducting statistical analysis. As bioinformatics became more popular in recent years, biostatistici- ans started to improve themselves in the field of biology which yielded a greater interaction between different disciplines and more contribution to this field. This manuscript aimed to give a bri¬ef information about bioinformatics, the relationship between bioinformatics biostatistics and methods which are commonly used to analyze biological data.
