Abstract :
This paper is a documentation of menora trunk stories. Menora is one of cultural performance art that had had evolved out from the Siamese in the Isthmus of Kra. The documentation was undertaken from stories narrative by Eler a/l Cha Perat or his Malay acquaintance name Pak Mat Tok Nora, 74 years old, from Kampung Bukit Yong, Pasir Puteh, Kelantan. He is not only the oldest person among the Siamese at Kampung Bukit Yong but also one of the menora major activist in the State of Kelantan. The outcomes of this analysis showed that the menora stories shared a strong resemblance with the Malay folk-lores. This could be seen from the stories’ plots, actors, characters and the themes of both genres, of the Siamese and the Malay.
