Abstract
1,5-Benzothiazepines 4a-j have been synthesized in 75-90% yield by a microwave promoted condensation of 2-aminothiophenol 3 and various chalcones 2 in the presence of catalytic amount of glacial acetic acid using methanol as a reaction mediator. The work-up is simple and involves treatment with ice-cold water. The structures of the compounds have been confirmed by elemental analysis and spectral analysis. All the compounds of this series have been evaluated for their Antibacterial activity.

تم تحضير المركبات 5، 1– بنزوثيازيين (1، 5-Benzothiazepines) 4a-j بمردود تفاعل 75-90 % بالتكثيف بالموجات القصيرة جدا لمركب 2- أمينوثيوفينول 3 و شالكونات متعددة 2 في وجود كمية من حمض الخل الثلجي كحافز و باستخدام الغول الميثيلي كوسط للتفاعل.
و عملية التحضير سهلة و تتضمن المعالجة بالماء المبرد بالثلج.
و تم التأكد من الشكل البنائي للمركبات بتحليل العناصر و التحاليل الطيفية.
كما تم تقييم جميع هذه المركبات من حيث فعاليتها ضد البكتيريا.
