TRANSFORMATION OF JOURNALISM: CONVERGING MEDIUM an‎d CONVERGENT JOURNALISM

This article attempts to treat the transformations caused by digital communication technologies and convergence in journalism field. Therefore, sector-specific effects of convergence are examined firstly and then consequences of convergence are explicated in point of journalistic practices and employment contextures, afterwards the profile of new media professionals is tried to figure out. Besides, effects of convergence policies in sector are mentioned in terms of working conditions and fringe benefits of journalists.

Bu makalenin konusunu sayısal iletişim teknolojilerinin ve yöndeşmenin gazetecilik alanında yol açtığı dönüşümler oluşturmaktadır. Bu nedenle öncelikle yöndeşmenin sektörel etkileri ele alınmış ve ardından gazetecilik pratikleri ve istihdam yapıları bakımından sonuçları irdelenerek, yeni medya profesyonellerinin profili çizilmeye çalışılmıştır. Makalede ayrıca sektördeki yöndeşme politikalarının gazetecilerin çalışma koşulları ve sosyal hakları açısından etkilerine de değinilmiştir.
