FROM THE EDITOR: Dear ACTA Orthopaedica et Traumatologica Turcica readers

We are pleased to present you with the fifth issue of our journal to coincide with the upcoming 12th annual National Turkish Orthopaedics and Traumatology Congress. In the future, AOTT will be bringing you more articles. In this issue we introduce a new section, Basic Studies, which includes studies on basic science in orth opaedics and traumatology, in addition to our usual original articles, experimental studies and case reports. I would like to mention again that we are looking forward to receiving original contributions from our esteemed authors for this section.
