Abstract :
Urticaria pigmentosa is the most common form of cutaneous mastocytosis, affecting primarily young boys and girls. It is characterized by numerous reddish-brown macules and plaques, in a symmetrical distribution except face, head, palms and soles. We report a case of one-year-old boy who presented with typical lesions of urticaria pigmentosa, symmetrically involving the whole body, including palmar and plantar surfaces. The histopathology was consistent with the above diagnosis. To our knowledge this is a unique presentation, never documented before.
