Abstract :
In this study forty cases were investigated for evaluation of apoptosis in patients with colon cancer by using the TUNEL assay. The results showed that the number of TUNEL positive colonic epithelial cells were significantly different from that in the control group and the frequencies and percentages of apoptosis between patients and controls were statistically significant (p 0.05).
