Abstract :
The association of psychiatric disorders andpediatric epilepsy is under appreciated byclinicians. Behavioral disorders, especiallydepression, are often perceived as “reactionary”processes. In fact, these comorbid disorderscan be more disabling than the epilepsy itself. This review discusses the common behavioralcomorbidities associated with epilepsy includingautistic spectrum disorders, psychosis, attentiondeficit hyperactivity disorders, and mooddisorders.
