Nilai Akhlak dan Pengaruh Media Massa di Kalangan Remaja Islam Luar Bandar

The existence of negative contents in the mass media today such as news papers, entertainments, VCD, DVD, TV, radio, and web sites has created negative consequences to the Muslim youths. As a result of the advancement and development of modern technologies today, the mass media have been considered as one of the most significant factors influenced the Muslim younger generation, not only in the urban areas but also in the rural areas. This main focus of this articel is to discuss the influence of mass media to the youths from the poor families in the district of Sabak Bernam, Selangor. The objectives of the study are to determine the level of exposure to the mass media, types and the contents of mass media chosen by the youths, as well as to analyze the relationship between the influence of mass media and the internalization of their moral values. This study used the questionnaires for collecting the data from the sixty-one students in Forms 5 in the district of Sabak Bemam, Selangor. They are the samples for this study.
