Abstract :
Poverty, health and human development are inextricably linked. UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan has said, The biggest enemy of health in the developing world is poverty. And it is well recognized that poor health adversely affects people s ability to achieve their full potential, thus hindering human development and economic progress. It is true to say that the world today has become a village and vitally important issues such as these need to be addressed at the global level.
