STUDENTS’ ATTITUDE TOWARDS MATHEMATICS

Students’ success in mathematics depends upon attitude towardsmathematics. It also influences the participation rate of learners. This study wasbased on a survey of high school students about their attitudes towardsmathematics. Students of both the gender constitute the population of this study.Sample of the study was 685 students (male = 379 and female = 306) of 10thgrade selected conveniently from 10 private and public sector schools. Aquestionnaire (α = 0.7452) was used to examine the attitudes of male and femalestudents towards mathematics at secondary school level. Descriptive statistics and t-test with P 0.05 level of significance were used for data analysis.
