Abstract :
Scimitar Syndrome, Hypogenic Lung Syndrome or Halasz Syndrome 1 is a rare congenital anomaly. The eponym Scimitar Syndrome is a term which has principally been used to describe the appearance of one specific type of anomalous connection of the right pulmonary vein to the systemic venous system, at a point near the level of the right leaf of the diaphragm. The term has been derived from the scimitar shaped configuration of the right pulmonary in its course through the right hemithorax 2 which can be visible roentgenologically as in our case where we present the plain radiographic and CT appearances of a single case of a right inferior pulmonary vein draining into the inferior vena cava (IVC) which represents the most common presentation of scimitar syndrome.
