Synthetic and spectroscopic studies of m-Bromo N, N-Dimethylbenzylamine and its complexes with Zn (II) and Cd (II)

m-Bromo N,N-Dimethylbenzylamine and its complexes with Zn (II) and Cd (II) metals were synthesized. The nature of m-bromo N,N-Dimethylbenzylamine and its complexes was evaluated on the basis of UV/ visible and fourier Transformed infrated spectroscopy and analytical data. Estimination of metal contents in the complexes was carried out by atomic absorption spectroscopy. The crystal structure of the complexes was determined by X-ray diffraction spectroscopy.
