Abstract :
Eight compounds have been isolated for the first time from Maerua arenaria namely, dodecanoic acid (1), b-sitosterol (2), ursolic acid (3), 4-hydroxybenzoic acid (4), methyl grevillate (5), glycerol 1,3-didodecanoate (6), 1-O-coumaroylglycerol (7) and b-sitosterol 3-O-b-D-glucopyranoside (8), respectively. Their structures have been elucidated by spectroscopic techniques.
