Abstract :
The work reported was undertaken with a view to synthesize methylene-bis-thiocyanate on a commercial scale. Although, the compound has already been synthesized by several workers from various starting materials which are not available in Pakistan and its production process is patented. We have synthesized this commercially important compound for the 1st time from formalin that is easily available.
