Abstract :
Carboxyl terminated polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) polymers were grafted onto polystyrene-hydroxyethylmethacrylate (Sty-HEMA) copolymer backbone by condensation reaction between the hydroxyl groups bearing copolymers backbone and the carboxyl terminated PMMA polymer chain. Grafted products were characterized by the Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC) using UV and RI detectors, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy.
