Abstract :
We give a setting for constructing a Weierstrass representation formula for simply connected minimal surfaces in the Lie group H3 × S^1. We derive the Weierstrass representation for surfaces and establish the generating equations for minimal surfaces in the Lie group H3 × S^1.
