Abstract :
In this study, a water vapor absorption performance of novel composite filament which can absorb water or water vapor without feeling any wetness has been analyzed. Fabric samples have been knitted by using this novel textile material. It has been seen that water vapor absorption performance after 24 hour is 12,9% and sense of wetness is very close to dry. The fabric samples can be cleaned by Airwash machine without using any liquid, in order to clean sweat or bacterium. The fabric samples can be cleaned by dry cleaning process that results a decrease on water vapor absorption performance around 50%, in order to clean stain on the fabric. However it has been seen that conventional washing treatment with water is not suitable for this type of fabric.
