Abstract :
Paying different salaries to the employees according to different properties of their jobs is come into question in firms. Thus, it is started to look at jobs which are done by hard workers and office workers in a different point of view. Therefore, firms started to use some systematic methods to define why and how much to pay for different jobs. In this period of time job evaluation came out as a method for defining how much to pay according to different jobs. Analytical job evaluation method is the one of the most systematic method in job evaluation. In this method, it’s possible to form a salary scale by quantizing observations and studies in connection with jobs. This study contains the analysis of works and a salary scale which are prepared according to analytical job evaluation in an apparel plant located in Izmir province. The scale which is obtained according to result of the study is composed of 5 level and employees have been spread to these levels.
