Abstract
The aim of this study is to investigate the possibility and abilities of core-spun yarn manufacture containing metal wire with the different kinds of ring spinning methods. For this aim, Ne 18, Ne 24 and Ne 30 count yarn samples with metal or without metal wire, were produced by means of ring, siro, compact spinning methods under controlled conditions on a sample ring machine. According to the results of the experimental study, the existence of metal wires in the yarn structure has negative effects on the strength, breaking elongation and hairiness properties. It is found that the use of siro and compact spinning methods in core-spun yarn manufacture will help to reduce the negative effects raised from the existence of metal wire, on the strength, breaking elongation and hairiness properties of yarns
