Abstract :
Journal Citation Report from Thomson ISI (Institute for Scientific Information) provides quantitative tools for evaluating scientific journals. The Impact Factor is a tool to measure of the frequency with which the average article in a journal has been cited in a given period of time. With other words, The Impact Factor is a measure reflecting the average number of citations to recent articles published in science and social science journals. Generally, The Impact Factor is calculated for 2 and 5 years periods.
