Abstract :
The paper presents the influence of the sealing parameters on the resistance of specific assemblies for clothing products made of waterproof materials. The optimum sealing parameters namely temperature, work speed, the pressure of the roller and of the air were determined for double and triple laminated materials, using thermo-adhesive strips of the Sympatex and Gore-Tex type. Following these results, correlations were determined among three experimentally determined sizes using the Table Curve 3D program, the correlations were graphically presented by 3D charts and were analytically transcribed by regression equations to which was attached the value of the determination coefficient. The breaking load and the elongation were determined according to SR EN ISO 13934-1/2002 on the warp and weft direction. Following these results, correlations were determined between two experimentally determined sizes, namely: breaking load and temperature, elongation and temperature. The correlations between two sizes were performed using the Excel spreadsheet program, through graphic and analytical equations. Optimizing the resistance conditions for the assemblies undertaking the thermo-adhesion process using thermo-adhesive tape were made by comparison with the standard sample, a fact which also results from the analysis of 2D histograms.
