Evaluations on Some Officials in Diyarbakir, One of the Important Centers of the Ottoman Provincial Organization in the XIX^th Century.

It is well known that the studies on the history of the Ottoman state organization focused on the central organization for a long time. However, researchers have started to give special importance to the provincial organization in the recent years and they have written important works on this subject. In this study, the provincial center of Diyarbakır, one of the remarkable examples of the Ottoman classical provincial organization, was discussed and the related evaluations were made on the less known administrative and judicial officials. A brief information about Diyarbakir was given without repeating the known facts. Following this, some determinations were made regarding Sahne, Tercüman, which was used in administrative and judicial organization, in addition to the “Bab Naibleri”.
