Abstract :
This study examines the effect of increasing rates of nitrogen on theproductive traits of four cultivars of spring malting barley: Kraguj, Dunavac, Urošand Slavko. Nitrogen rates of 0, 60, 80 and 100 kg ha^-1 were applied. In thetreatments with nitrogen, 90 kg ha^-1 P2O5 and K2O were also added. The aim of thisstudy was to determine the effect of nitrogen nutrition on the productivecharacteristics of spring malting barley. The results show that the use of nitrogenhad a positive effect on the productive characteristics of spring malting barley in alltreatments and in all cultivars. Different responses of the studied cultivars to theapplication of fertilizers are the result of their genotype characteristics.
