Abstract :
In this survey, it was examined the effect of creative drama in social work training. In this survey, experiment group was formed by the undergraduate students (1’st year) of University of Ankara, Faculty of Health Science, who take optional creative drama lesson. The control group of this survey was formed by the students who do not take the creative drama lesson however who are in the same class with the students of experiment group. Participant number of this survey was 54, 28 of them were in experiment group and 26 of them were in the control group. In this survey; Emphatic Skill Scale-Form B and Emphatic Tendency Scale were used as tool of data collection method. This survey is an experimental study where pro-test and last test model were used. In the experiment group, Creative Drama Program that was formed by the researchers was implemented in 14 sessions. Each session lasted about 180 minutes. There was no implementation in Control Group. T test was used for the analysis of the data in order to see the equality of experiment and control group and to see the difference among last test points. Variance analysis was used in order to see the difference of pre and last test points of experiment and control group in repetitive assessments. According the results that were derived from experiment and control group, it was seen that the level of emphatic tendency and emphatic skills were higher among the students who took the Creative Drama Lesson
