Abstract :
The purpose of this research is to investigate friendship relations of university students living in YURTKUR dormitories and to study friendship problems. This study aims at undestanding the complex relations between friendship problems and some independent variables of interest. On the basis of these analysis a model will be developed to the help social workers in solving problems faced in friendship relations. This research was conducted at six YURTKUR’s dormitories with 484 üniversity students. Data were collected by questionnaire developed by researcher and “friend relations scale”. Data were analysed by using SPSS 11.05 programme. Analysis of variance, t test, pearson correlation coefficent and regression techniques were used for analysis. According to results %48.1of students’ friendship relation level is at middle level, %27.7 is low level and %24.2 high level. In result when level of friendship relations are increase, friendship problems are going to decrease. Friendship relations of female students are more positive than male students. When number of students who are living in a dormitory room are increase and level of dormitory qualitiea are increase, friendship problems are going to decrease.
