Abstract :
The present work aimed to study the biochemical toxicity of fenitrothion, cyphenothrin, azadirachtin and pyriproxyfen administered orally at 1/10 LD50 against the white albino rat. The four tested insecticides caused, in general, increasing effects in urea content in the blood of treated rats. This was more pronounced with cyphenothrin and pyriproxyfen 1 hour after treatment. Considering creatinine content, data indicate negligible changes in creatinine content with cyphenothrin. However pyriproxyfen caused great and abnormal increase in creatinine immediately after administration. Fenitrothion increased creatinine after treatment and continued high than normal till the end of experiment. Fenitrothion increased the content of uric acid after 1st and 2nd weeks, but recovery to normal didn t occur. However, cyphenothrin showed abnormal increase in uric acid 1 hr after treatment and then decreased to normal. Azadirachtin and pyriproxyfen caused high increase in uric acid then after decreased than normal at the end of experiment.
