Abstract :
Three new complexes of o-Phthaldialdehyde with Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) ions have been synthesized and characterized by using several physiochemical tools; in terms, elemental analysis, molar conductivity, infrared and electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopes. The elemental analysis data of the complexes exhibited the formation of 1:1 and 1:2 [M:L] ratios. The infrared spectra displayed the coordination sites of the ligand which bound to the metal ions. The electron paramagnetic resonance spectral data suggested the proper geometrical structures of the synthesized complexes.
