Abstract
The present study aimed to evaluate some of microbiological and chemical proprieties of water samples collected from three wells in Zeweela and Temessa, southern Libya. The microbiological and chemical analyses were determined in water samples collected from three wells. Two wells located in Zeweela region and one well in Temessa. The microbiological analysis included heterotrophic plate count (HPC) and total coliform (TC). Chemical analysis include hydrogen ion concentration (pH), electrical conductivity (EC), some dissolved ions (Sodium, potassium, ferrous and Nitrate) Results indicated that almost all water samples found to be were acceptable according to WHO drinking water directive standards except ferrous ion concentraction.
