Abstract :
This article seeks to argue that given the special nature of construction industry there is a need to have specific regulations to deal with the management of safety and health matters at construction sites. Whereas mills or factories have fixed or permanent work sites construction project are different,· for example there are not just constraction but also subcontractors. And the workers too have to move around from one site to .another. What is particularly wanting about the law pertaining to aSH in Malaysia is the absence of law which imposes the duty to manage safety and health on construction site
