Abstract :
It can be followed through the inscriptions found in the region that many assisting legions and their supporting troops had been sent to Zeugma from 2nd and 3rd centuries as an addition to Legio IIII Scyhtica . Within this main center, several main legions other than Legio IIII Scyhtica had also been put in charge together with the related establishments and the troops. Arulis (Ehneş) Quarry is supplying important information regarding whether these legions or their auxilium had taken part in any kind of activities other than military operations. In addition to Legio IIII Scyhtica located in Zeugma, another legion named Legio IIII Flavia Felix whose presence could not have been exactly determined until the current detection of two inscriptions about this legion on the surface of the Arulis (Ehneş) quarry that have supplied reliable data that had removed the suspicions about the existence of the specified legion. After the discovery of these two inscriptions, it can be certainly stated that other than Legio IIII Scythica, Legio IIII Flavia Felix had directly taken part in the stone quarrying process.
