  • Abstract
    The purpose of this research is to put forward the experiences of teacher candidates from the Department of German Language Teaching who studied in German universities within the framework of ERASMUS Student Exchange program in the language and cultural context. A questionnaire was used in order to determine the views of the participants during the research. The data were acquired via descriptive analyses techniques. While presenting the findings based on qualitative research methods, direct quotations from the participants’ statements were provided. As seen from the themes obtained from the ERASMUS participants, who went to Germany, cultural practices learned through experience led the participants to develop their perspectives, to think and to question. The participants’ acquirements of German language development via ERASMUS programme are as follows: to practice, to comprehend the daily and vocational languages, overcoming the barriers without having difficulty in daily subjects and speaking spontaneously
