Abstract :
The incoherent-scattering cross sections are determined at 279.2 keV gamma-ray energy in the angular range 30° - 105° in Ni, Zn, Ag, Cd, In, Sn, and Pb. The measurements were carried out using an Nal (Tl) detector coupled to a single channel anallyser. The scattering functions so determined experimentally have been compared with values evaluated on the basis of non relativistic SCF Hartree-foek wave function. A reasonable agreement is observed between the theory and experiment within the limit of experimental errors.
