Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to determine students’ developmental needs and life challenges in regional boarding schools through teachers’ perspectives. The participants of the study were 15 teachers working at various regional boarding schools. The data was gathered through semi-structured interviews and were analyzed by thematic analysis. According to teachers’ perspectives, it might be said that there are paradoxical results about satisfying children’s developmental needs. Regional boarding schools have various practices. Moreover, such schools seem to be more advantageous for the students with the school facilities they offer as the students are coming from the regions with limited opportunities. On the other hand, it might be said that children’s developmental needs aren’t sufficiently met mainly because their parents ignorance and the students rarely visit them etc
