Abstract :
Based on literature review, this paper attempts to present programs supporting general development and also programs for intervening various risky issues treating adolescents. It has proposed that since 1970’s intervention programs for adolescents changed. Specifically in recent programs, positive characteristics of adolescents and development of resiliency were focused. Intervention programs may include certain environmental regulations and coping with disasters. Certain intervention programs target the whole group in general whereas some require only risky adolescents in a certain issue. Together with the popularity of evidence based approach to intervention programs, the interest for evaluating programs on concrete measures have raised among researchers. In this paper, various intervention programs and information regarding the content and procedure are presented. Literature review showed that intervention programs must take form from viewpoint of adolescents, consider the concepts risk vulnerable and risk resilient, focus on positive behaviors and use the experimental designs include follow up studies.
