Abstract :
The main objective of this study is to increase the acquisition rate of the vocabulary used in the Turkish cours and work books for the students, and in this context, be able to define the roles of Turkish course and work books. That no any study seems to be done in this field may make this research more important. The quantitave analysis methods are used to achieve the objective of this research. The pretest-posttest design with control group is implemented during the analysing process. The study group is composed of the 8th grade students of two different elementary schools. In the analysis implemented it is observed that the average post and pretest scores of the experimental group are higher than those of control group (p .05).
