Abstract :
New museological approach of 21st century has brought forward the concept of democratic museum with a progressive perspective and it has also added the functions of new museums into literature within the Code of Ethics of International Council of Museums (ICOM). Social functions of museums have stepped forward and have been renewed with the concepts such as social inclusion, democratization, participation, egalitarian museum and brave museum. Based on the social functions of museums, in order to form and improve the contemporary understanding, the preparation of museum staff as professionals in the new age is significant throught the new approaches in museum education. This study stressess the methods of contemporary museum education and disscusses the changing roles of museum educators.
