Abstract :
In this research, PISA 2015 investigated which variables related to the characteristics of disadvantaged students significantly predicted science performance. Within the scope of the research, Turkey data obtained from the PISA 2015 survey was used. Ten different potential scores (plausible values) were calculated for the students in the PISA 2015 study as dependent variable and the students motivation for science learning, interest in science subjects, instrumental motivation for science learning and science self-efficacy variables were selected. The International Database (IDB) Analyzer package program was used for the Multicore Regression Analysis of the data set. According to the analysis results, the level of explanations of the students science literacy performances was found to be 6% in disadvantaged students and 11% in non-disadvantaged students.
