Abstract :
When moral education is considered, education is at least as important as the family. The kind of moral education which will be given at schools, where the child learns socialization, is shaped according to the countries education philosophy and moral understandings. About the kind of education is done in our schools when the education policy and the education programs are examined in our country, it can be said that a moral teaching established by religion was nearly always in principle during the Republic period, except a short period of time. In the period where the religion education was removed from formal education institutions a secular, social moral understanding was tried to be applied by a few lessons according to the humanist culture understandings which are applied. When this period is not included, it is seen that, religion based education is done by Religious Knowledge, Moral Education and Religion Culture and Moral Education lessons. Framework of the limitation of this article have been dealed with that how was based on understanding of moral education that occur through these programs of teachings and textbooks.
