Abstract :
This research investigates the impact of the training course provided in resource rooms on the primary and secondary school level gifted students’ self-concept, positive-negative social behaviours, reflective thinking skills towards problem solving, and social emotional learning skills. The study group of the research consisted of 120 students, 40 of whom were in primary school and the remaining 80 were in secondary school, residing and receiving education in Zeytinburnu District in the academic year 2018-2019. Data for the study was collected through the Reflective Thinking Skill Scale towards Problem Solving, School Social Behaviour Scale, Pierre Harris Self-Concept Scale for Children and Social-Emotional Learning Skills Scale. The findings indicate that the training program contributed positively to the students’ reflective thinking skills towards problem solving, social-emotional learning skills and social competence.
