Abstract :
We have got ‘hab-name’ and ‘vakıa-name’ in divan literature. Among the chief ’hab-name’s there are Veysi-i Alaşehri Üveys bin Mehmed’s Hab-name-i Veysi, Kadıasker Abbas Efendizade Mehmet Haşmet’s Hab-name-i Haşmet. In the 19th century hab-names shifted into ‘rüya(dream)’s. Among the authors of ‘dream’ we can count Ziya Paşa, Yenişehirli Avni, Ali Suavi, Namık Kemal and Mehmet Nazım bey. There are lots of ‘dream’ seen about The Balkans War, recent limited goverments, goverment of Ankara, elections and Atatürk. Sleep and dream were also the leading subjects of the poets. Several poets, mainly Recaizade Mahmut Ekrem, Tevfik Fikret, Yahya Kemal, Faruk Nafiz Çamlıbel, Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar, Fazıl Hüsnü Dağlarca and Turgut Uyar worked up on this theme in their poems.
