Abstract :
This paper describes the challenges of segmenting coronaries in x-ray images. The proposed segmentation process divided into four main phases. The first phase is segmentation, which airns at extracting arteries from the imoge for suhsequent processing. And, the second phase is skeletonization or thinning, which aims at determining the skeletal points of the arteries. The third phase concerns traversing of arteries, aiming at calculating the widths for each skeletal point. Finally, the fourth phase is to highlight possible lesions in the image. At the end of this paper conclusion followed by some suggestions for future work are prsented.
