Abstract :
As an important factor in strengthening the national R D infrastructure, the fact that “University-Industry Cooperation” being not at the desired level in our country has been a subject constantly under scope and emphasized for many years. However, most of the studies did not pay enough attention to the opinions and expectations of the industry, but focused mainly on the expectations and problems of the universities and public institutions. On the other hand, it is also a necessity to know the expectations of our industrialists, the problems they have and their solution suggestions from their point of view as they actually realize the 49,78% of the R D expenditure in Turkey in 2014, mostly with their own resources. When it is considered that 50,86% of the R D expenditure is being financed by the private sector, it is obvious that the problems of the industry must be taken into account. In this study it is aimed to analyze the subject from a different perspective; the obstacles in front of the university-industry cooperation and the main problems occurring during the process have been introduced from the point of view of the industry.
