Abstract :
Job satisfaction has a vital importance not only for the employee‟s positive contributions to the organizational performance, but also their physical and mental health, and their motivation. Employees do not consider the workplace merely a way to satisfy their economical expectations. They also want to fulfill their social and emotional needs. Hence, management has economical and legal responsibilities as well as duties to meet employee‟s social and emotional needs. This study investigates the job satisfaction level and its relation to demographic variables in 9 branches of Ankara University TÖMER based on 14 factors by using data from 241 academic and administrative staff. The data are analyzed with t test and ANOVA, and the results cannot present a demographic variable determining job satisfaction level.
