Abstract :
The aim of this study was to investigate the pattern of knowledge, comprehension and theory application among Malaysian counselors. A set of questionnaire was distributed to 315 counselors who were chosen randomly and 241 sets were returned for analysis. The data collected were analyzed using percentage and mean together with Pearson correlation. Three dependent variables were tested (knowledge, comprehension and application) against 6 independent variables (age, gender, experience, registration, supervision and academic qualification). The findings showed significant relationship between knowledge and application; and between comprehension and application. However, there was no significant relationship between knowledge and comprehension.
