Abstract :
This paper examines the influence of transformational leadership style on organizational commitment among participants in homestay program. Four dimensions of transformational leadership were used namely idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation and individual consideration. This study involved 304 respondents from the homestay program in Malaysia. Data was analyzed using descriptive analysis, and multiple regression analysis. From multiple regression analysis, the result showed that intellectual stimulation (β = 0.275, p 0.00) is the main predictor in organizational commitment among participants in homestay program. The study also found that the individual influence, inspirational motivation and individualized consideration do not contribute to the organizational commitment among participants in homestay program.
