  • Abstract
    The study was aimed to determine the pattern of teacher efficacy based on stages of teaching experience. The sample consist of 1321 teachers from 48 secondary schools in four main divisions of Sabah, was chosen through a purposive sampling technique. Data had been collected using Teacher Sense of Efficacy Scale (TSES). The study showed that teachers’ were highly efficacious. Teachers’ efficacy developed in four stages, namely, adaptation, mature, peak and exhaustion. The study found that teacher experience was significantly correlated to teachers’ efficacy. A multivariate test obtained that overall teacher efficacy significantly influenced by their teaching experience, as well as separately by dimensions. Class management had more influenced compare to other dimensions. The findings implications were discussed as well.
