Abstract :
This paper analysis the contents of Malaysia Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Mohd Najib bin Abdul Razak s speeches. This paper utilizes Najib Razak s speeches in the UMNO General Meeting from 2004 to 2009 as its data. It is found that Najib Razak always gives advices, critics and reminds about the weaknesses of the Malay and UMNO s members through Malay proverbs. Those Malay proverbs are in three categories: (i) towards positive attitude, (ii) related to Malay s negative attitudes, and (iii) self-motivation.
